This video contains footage of a benefit show to support Shepherd Wellness Community, a Pittsburgh-based non-profit providing services to those living with HIV/AIDS. The benefit took place on September 18, 1994 at Real Luck Cafe (Lucky’s), a gay and lesbian bar at 1519 Penn Ave. in the Strip District. The show is hosted by MC Vanna aka Michael Obusek, the current reigning Miss Pittsburgh 1994, who also performed the final number, “The Glory of Love / Wind Beneath My Wings,” by Bette Midler, (00:35:36). The event features performances from Miss B. Have aka Nikki Danielle, Sarin, CoCo Chanel, Brown Sugar, and Frankie Ross. At the end of the tape, Vanna thanks all of the performers and brings them back to the stage before the audience returns to the dance floor, (00:43:30).
