[back cover] Male Entertainment Network, MEN was founded in 1983 as a media company for the gay community. Since then over 40 videos have been produced, including the official coverage of Gay Games II. Entertainment is the main ingredient of all the MEN videos, and the most popular is the series called "Men Behind Bars." These are two hour variety shows featuring hunky San Francisco bartenders and other stars in various music, comedy, and dance skits. Network distribution of MEN videos to gay bars in almost every major US city have reached hundreds of thousands of gay people who rely on MEN for their window to the world. Other popular titles from MEN are "International Mr. Leather", the most widely recognized event for leathermen in the world, "Mr. Drummer Finals", famous for the exciting sexual fantasies which each man performs on stage, "Miss Continental" featuring the best female impersonators in the country, and "Gay Games II", the worldwide gay athletic competition originally called the "Gay Olympics" before the US Supreme Court banned the title. In 1986 the company expanded with WOMEN, a distribution company for Lesbians.
