Last Call for Holiday My Memory: "I have a plenitude of fond memories concerning the Holiday bar?most of which I can't remember (either due to extreme drunkeness or to alzheimer's). There's was that time with the Miracle Whip packets and the German exchange students behind the back bar - if I ever have to use "the blue bearded pimp is stroking his bus full of penguin-shaped nuns" as a safety word again, I'll never recover! now for the truth! I've had many wonderful times here. Through the years. When I was but a wee lad still striving for my bachelor's at Carnegie Mellon, I would come here with friends to play pool and down a few,. Most recently, (well, within the past 2 years), Holiday was served as a makeshift Cathedral for my and my husband's exchange of wedding vows...and all to the house beat of Madonna's "Vogue". Actually, I've had some of the best times of my meaningless life here in Pittsburgh at this very bar. Whether or not my life will truly be meaningless after tonight will depend soley on me, but at least on my death bed I will give a Bette Davis glance and say 'My life was shit, but I have those times at Holiday' - Jon"
