Description
This tape contains footage from the one-night event “Legendary Ladies,” starring Ronda Leigh (Miss Greensburg 1985, Miss Paradise Cove 1984), Snowy, and Diva (Miss Greensburg 1987) - emceed by Trish Russell. The event was a follow-up to the 1986 Paradise Cove show “Surprise: Legendary Ladies,” which celebrated Billie Holiday, Judy Garland, Connie Francis, Liza Minnelli, and Barbra Streisand and starred Rhonda Leigh, Snowy, Erica Dessario, and Trish Russell. The 1988 show celebrated Taylor Dayne, Stevie Nicks, Annie Lennox, Cher, Loretta Lynn, and Liza Minnelli.
Snowy, who had held the titles of Miss Travellers (1984), Miss Greensburg (1984), Miss Paradise Cove (1985), and Miss Gay Continental Pennsylvania (1988), was billed as a “special guest from South Florida” for the evening. Snowy returned to Pittsburgh by 1989 to compete for, and win, the title of Miss Pittsburgh.
The show ends with acknowledgements and thanks from Trish Russell, and Snowy - including thanks to Pegasus and its staff, Vince Lewandowski, DJ Billy, Michael (camera man), Roxanne Stein (?), and Vinny Carbox (?). Ronda advertises the 6th annual Miss Greensburg pageant, scheduled for September 10th, and Diva’s farewell to Miss Greensburg show, scheduled for August 20th. Both events were to be held at the Safari Lounge in Greensburg.
